Aesop New York - Project Completion

Aesop have opened an inspirational new store in the Rockefeller Center, New York, with lighting by Xavio.

Xavio's international design team provided the professional lighting scheme, lighting calculations and luminaire specification for all applications within the store - our fourth successful project with Aesop in the last 2 years.

Xavio continues to expand rapidly into the luxury retail sector, both internationally and within the UK.

To quote from Aesop:

A store within an architectural complex as significant as the Rockefeller Center calls for monumentality. Our in-house design team was inspired by the volumetric clarity of the Center’s Art Deco interiors—the high ceilings, the opulent materials, the rich frescoes. The challenge was to create a space that would be simultaneously magnificent and vast, yet somehow domestic and warm. Passersby are invited to leave behind the hubbub of Fifth Avenue and enter a world of unconventional aromas, acoustic quietude, and gleaming burl timber.
